(December 3, 1945  -  April 4, 2020)

For more than 30 years, Dr. Stuart Donaldson has changed the lives of more than 7,000 people suffering from a variety of chronic dysfunctions, including Concussions (typically due to motor vehicle accidents and sports injuries), anxiety and depression, and ADHD.

Dr. Donaldson has been a licensed psychologist in the Province of Alberta since 1977. He received his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Calgary in 1989 where he focused on the relationship between muscle activity as measured by surface electromyographic (SEMG) techniques and chronic pain. Throughout his practice, he has used SEMG to study myofascial pain and fibromyalgia. Unique in the psychophysiology field he has also studied quantitative electroencephalogram (qEEG) and brainwave activity combining SEMG with EEG biofeedback and produced a comprehensive theory involving neuralplasticity and fibromyalgia.

In 1995, Dr. Donaldson was awarded “Outstanding Contribution to the Interdisciplinary Pain Management Literature” by the American Journal of Pain Management for his work on SEMG, neck pain, and headaches. He has numerous publications in scientific journals, has lectured all over the world, and is in constant demand to speak.

Dr. Donaldson is currently conducting a multi-year study on Concussions where he is collecting baseline data on junior hockey players and following them if they get injured. He is presently Director of Myosymmetries, a unique multidisciplinary facility that aims to improve personal health and wellness and enhance physical and mental performance. In the future, he hopes to investigate the incidence of Concussions in abused women and the homeless population.
